Short and sweet, up and down, salt and vinegar, back and forth, please and thankyou.

Matthew has finally realised I have a blog and that he can read it if he likes. I have a feeling he'll be stalking my entries. HEY MATT :D

Tomorrow's final christmas shopping day. Pretty much I just need a present for Matt's dad and a ton of wrapping paper. I have NO IDEA what to get Paul. I'm really stressing about it! I have nice things for Bev and Lucy but Paul's had me puzzling for weeks. :( It's Matthew's day off though so I'm hoping he'll help, fingers crossed. I might pick up some odds and ends for some friends, though I reeeeally haven't done the Christmas thing outside of family and Matthew. Everyone's poor at this time of year. I'm not expecting any presents really :P Also my friends are so damn hard to buy for - I set the bar too high last year by getting Alex that Miffy toy; I'll never beat that.

Was at a party last night and had a lovely time despite just about everyone being on drugs except me. The alcohol numbed my caring about it though so it was okay. I didn't realise how smoky that room was until this morning when Matthew mentioned it ("heinous" was his word of choice) and I smelled my dress - ugh. somehow my bra reeks of smoke too. ("cos your tits are smoking hot!" said mattyhall. hahaha) Well i had a great time nevertheless and it was brilliant to see people like Lollop, ollie, aids, matt etc etc who I haven't seen since the summer. good times!

turning 21 soon. what are we doing to celebrate?!

Collection 2000 Poptastic, Victoria Jackson and Yo! Sushi

So, the Poptastic palette followup I promised - yeah, it's actually pretty good! I have oily lids so it's hard to get eyeshadow to stick without a primer, but this stuff doesn't crease or fade unevenly, and still looks good after several hours. Says on the box it lasts up to 8 hours which is a lie, but it comes close enough. I like it a lot :)

So yesterday I got my hands on (read: Matthew bought me) some Victoria Jackson cosmetics. Allegedly I got stuff worth £210 for £30. I'd never heard of the stuff before so I looked it up online and found the website that is indeed offering the stuff I got at ridiculously high prices. There were also a lot of people shouting scam from the rooftops, and a lot of people on the fence. I don't think it's a scam, per se - they're probably just worth nowhere near £200.

I got a "survival kit" which has ten eyeshadows, five lip colours, a mascara, an eyeliner, a lip liner, two blushes and a set of mini brushes all in a little container. Also a colour collection in "peach" - two larger blushes, five larger neutral eye colours, and five lip colours which are actually quite good. I wore a brown eye shadow today and it's nice - feels smooth and silky and has lasted since ~10AM, so six hours so far. The lip colours are good too, I hate lipgloss and balm so I didn't think I'd like these, but they're more like lipstick. Not much staying power though. The blushes are far too bright for me.

I also got a bronze shimmer powder brush which I won't use... I get glitter on my face anyway from my eyeshadows, I don't need more!

The best part, mind you, is the brushes. I got one of each - powder, foundation, eyeshadow, eyeliner, lip liner, and eyebrow - and they're lovely. The foundation brush especially is amazingly soft and feels great. I've been needing a new soft eyeshadow brush and this one is just lovely. They're apparently made from all-natural fibres and will last forever so I'm pretty chuffed. Thankyou so much Matthew!

Yo! Sushi trip report: yummers.

I had five slices of tuna sashimi, two salmon skin rolls, two mini salmon rolls, two mini smoked salmon and wasabi rolls, two mini tuna rolls, some miso soup and for dessert some daifuku. Despite hating fish Matthew found stuff he liked - mostly chickeny stuff including some amazing teriyaki chicken that I wanted for myself. He had a chocolate mousse thing for dessert which was yum. It was a really awesome meal, I love sushi and can't get it very often so it's lovely to have a place like that so close. :)

I'm really not good at this blogging malarkey

So I'm back in Nottingham now, and it's about a million times better than last year. Instead of crappy, falling apart, noisy halls, I live in a lovely clean quiet flat. The only thing I miss about Pevs is Adam and Gina. Never thought I'd miss those two-hour one-sided conversations about cricket, but there you go. (love you adam)

Honestly I'm much happier than I thought I'd be. I figured I'd be super homesick, but so far I'm okay. I miss my family but after the summer it's nice to be away from them. Most of my friends at home seemed to lose interest in seeing me (not looking at anyone in particular, oliver) so I can't say I miss them too much. I'm sure I'll see Matt soon and we'll go party. Maybe try and get Aids as well. (hahahaha) I miss Jess but I only saw her a few times this summer too. Wish I'd got to see Yallop before I left though :(

So really the only bit of Norwich I really, really miss is Matthew.
:(
I can't wait to see him on Friday. It's my grandparents' golden wedding so I have to go home for it, but not complaining - two big posh meals, a boat trip, and three nights at home with my boyfriend? Sounds like a plan to me.
It's just a bit weird being without him, after having spent pretty much the whole summer with him living in my room!
We'll cope, I know we will, it'll just take some adapting.

I went to City last night for the first time in months and it was such a fun night, I don't think I've had so much fun since the first time I went. I don't even know what made it so much better than other times. I was in a bloody good mood for some reason and only got sad when I got a little freaked out by a friend of a friend of a friend whose name I don't even know and went to sit in the basement to hide hahaha.
But yeah, fun times!

Uni starts again on tuesday and I get another year of Vicky. JOY. Looking forward to Psych with Ben though, that'll be fun as usual hehe :D

so yeah, overall (minus the matthew bit) I'm glad to be back here. Should hopefully be a fun year. :)
